Channel Blender

Channel Blender

Air Blender Product available at Blender Products

A highly effective dynamic mixing device that makes the mixing box mix, and eliminates the Blender section.

The Channel Blender by Blender Products incorporates outdoor and return air dampers into a channel structure that creates highly effective mixing of the two air streams in the mixing box, eliminating freeze stat trips and frozen coils without the need for traditional static mixers and the separate mixer section.  This reduces the air handling unit footprint and the energy savings from extending economizer use typically pay for the Channel Blender in 3 to 36 months.

Freeze Protection with Channel Blender

Freeze Protection

Freeze-stat trips & frozen water coils cost building owners and system designers significant time and money.  Good mixing is the most effective and efficient way to provide coil-freeze protection.

Less footprint in HVAC Air Mixing

Space Savings

Because the Channel Blender fixes the problem of dampers in the wall of the mixing box not effectively mixing, it eliminates the need for a separate Blender section to provide the upstream and downstream lengths required by a static mixer like the Air Blender® reducing the air tunnel by 30” to 100” depending on the size of the system.

Economizer Operation with Channel Blender

Economizer Operation

Poor mixing often forces building operators to prematurely abandoned economizer operation.  Proper mixing, however, allows full utilization of free cooling, and thereby saves building owners significant operating expense.

Temperature Control HVAC Channel Blender

Temperature Control Accuracy

Sensor accuracy is significantly compromised when temperature and velocity stratification exist.  Proper mixing minimizes sensor errors, thereby ensuring accurate temperature sensing and control.

Velocity Profile Channel Blender HVAC

Even Velocity Profile

Velocity maldistribution compromises the performance of filtration systems, heating and cooling coils, and humidification systems. By evening the velocity profile, system components work longer and more efficiently.
